Powell River Credit Union Building

Next to the Provincial Building is the former Credit Union Building. Powell River's Credit Union, the first in BC, was chartered in 1939. The members met in various locations before this structure was built in 1954. In 2007 Powell River Credit Union changed their name to First Credit Union to reflect their part in BC's history.
